Have you ever wondered how artificial intelligence could help make your life easier? Or thought about how AI may need to be more regulated? That’s exactly what Patrick Husting, founder and CEO of Ghostwriter AI
According to Patrick, AI is being used in more and more software applications like ChatGPT, an artificial intelligence chatbot developed by OpenAI and launched on November 30, 2022. In fact, he says he had a lot of fun incorporating AI into his latest app. “This Ghostwriter AI add-in is one of the most fun things I’ve ever created. I’ve never had this much attention. Sure, my equestrian app is the #1 app for managing horses and there’s over 50,000 horses in the system and 150 racing camels on it, but this Ghostwriter AI has been amazing,” he says. “It does a great job of having people around the world unlock their creativity. The most fun has been the fact that I’ve never sold a license in the country of China … ever … until this add-in. I have 300 college professors in China that use it. It opens up opportunities for people and breaks that writer’s block. I like seeing the impact that it is making.”
“Today, when I look at the big tech companies doing AI projects, I see that they are racing full steam ahead. The beauty of all of this is the Open Source movement because they are moving faster than the big tech companies. There’s going to be good people out there using AI for good. But there’s also going to be bad people and some nation states out there using AI for bad. Will it become sentient? I don’t know. It freaks me out. I would love to see big tech companies be regulated (around use of AI).”
