Working From Home is Easier with Laplink and Microsoft’s Support

Many people now working from home are using old technology not ideal for work. As a result, they are upgrading their PCs. Laplink makes it easier!
Free data transfer tool helps new influx of employees working from home.

Today, we announced free and significantly discounted versions of its PCmover software for Microsoft Windows® users to support the growing number of employees working from home due to the COVID-19 virus. PCmover is the global leader in PC migration and the only software of its kind recommended by Microsoft, Intel and all major PC manufacturers.

According to a survey by Willis Towers Watson, nearly half (46%) of American organizations have implemented remote work policies because of the COVID-19 pandemic—a big jump from the normal 29% of the workforce that was working from home just a few weeks ago. Many new remote workers are attempting to use older technology not intended for professional use. As a result, many of these new remote workers are upgrading their PCs and Laplink will make that process easier.

PCmover Express – for FREE!

Now through June 30, 2020, we’re offering Microsoft Windows users a free download of PCmover Express for personal use. In addition, you can get a discounted download of PCmover Professional. PCmover Express automatically moves files, settings, and user profiles from an old PC to a new one. PCmover Professional also automates the migration of files, settings, and user profiles, as well as the transfer of applications.

Our partnership with Microsoft was established in 2014, after Microsoft stopped offering Windows Easy Transfer. We partnered to provide Windows users with data transfer software for Windows XP end-of-support. The partnership was later extended with the release of Windows 10 to help all Windows users move to the new version. Now, the companies will again cooperate to provide additional assistance during a difficult time.

Laplink wants to help people working from home.

“At a time like this, Laplink wants to do what it can to help. From the home office, to the enterprise, and throughout the world, an emergency like COVID-19 leaves everyone with a lot of unknowns, especially in how employees will stay productive when urged to work from home. We want to remove at least one of those unknowns and provide a trusted tool that will get a new PC set up and working quickly,” said Thomas Koll, CEO at Laplink. “Laplink is dedicated to simplifying the data migration process, and we’re eager to do our part by extending this offer of free data migration to the thousands of PC users that need to update their home technology in order to stay productive.”
