Upgrade to Windows 10: Reasons and Considerations

Windows 10 is releasing today, and so I have listed my top 5 reasons for consumers and businesses to upgrade.

Top 5 Key Reasons for Consumer
1. Windows 10 is free for genuine Windows 7 and 8.1 users
2. Windows 10 will return to the more familiar and popular Win7 UI (User Interface) elements combined with improvements of Win 8/8.1 and the use of so-called “Apps”
3. Familiar experiences across multiple devices (Phone, Tablet, PC, Xbox)
4. Cortana can be a change agent of how user interact with a PC
5. Integrated experience with OneDrive and Cloud overall

Issues to be aware of
No “Windows Easy Transfer”
Not all Win 7 / 8 / 8.1 users can easily upgrade (particularly users running 32-bit systems)
After the Windows 10 Upgrade there is no restore facility / go-back
No Media Center Edition (plus no codecs to play DVDs)
Anti-Virus Software “Handling”
Problem of “Constant updates” not going away
